III INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS OF INSURANCE LAW "sustainability, innovation and digitalization: new challenges for insurance law"

Three years after the last Congress held online due to the health crisis, the Grup de Recerca de Derecho d'Assegurances of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili will hold a new International Congress on June 10 and 11, 2024.
On this occasion, the research topics connect with the lines of research opened in the Research Project PID2020-117169GB-I00, funded by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities. As the title of the Congress indicates, sustainability, innovation and digitalisation are at the heart of the debate. The new perspectives of legislative reform have led to the creation of a space in Congress as well.
As in the previous Congress, the activity is carried out with the collaboration of the Spanish Section of the International Association of Insurance Law (SEAIDA) and with the support of the Port Authority of Tarragona which, once again, resolutely supports legal research as an exponent of economic development in its territory.
The Congress is structured in two lectures -opening and closing- and four modules or sessions, in which various speakers will address some questions on the proposed topic. Specifically, there are four:
Session 1: Sustainability as a guiding principle of insurance activity
Session 2: Digitalization and Innovation in Insurance (I)
Session 3: Digitalization and Innovation in Insurance (II)
Session 4: New Challenges in Insurance Law
We hope that the Congress and the topics under study will arouse significant interest among its participants and will serve as a useful instrument to offer new solutions of interest to the conflicts that the insurance activity has been giving rise to.
