Ana Giménez Costa
Associate Professor of Civil Law at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili and cum laude PhD in Law from the same university. She holds a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Civil Law from the University of Barcelona and is a specialist in University Teaching within the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) from the Institute of Education Sciences of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili. She is the coordinator of the University Master's Degree in Legal Practice (Law and Procuratorship).
Her teaching and research activity focuses primarily on Catalan Civil Law, European Private Law, Consumer Law, the application of the principle of non-discrimination in contractual and family law, and teaching innovation. Throughout her academic career, she has participated in 14 research projects awarded through European, national, and regional public and competitive calls, having served as principal investigator in three of them. She is currently a member of the national R&D&I projects "Contingent Properties" and "Needs and Rights of the Children of Femicide: A Transdisciplinary Approach to the Consequences of Gender-Based Violence in the Context of COVID-19", as well as of the consolidated research group of the Government of Catalonia "Transformative Law." She has been granted the status of active researcher by the Universitat Rovira i Virgili.
These activities have resulted in three books, 17 scholarly articles published in indexed journals, and more than 32 book chapters. In addition, she has delivered 37 papers and presentations at scientific conferences and seminars-19 of them international-and has taken part in the coordination of 12 scientific conferences and seminars.
