I studied, I started and I trained in Private International Law (DIPr.) at the University of the Balearic Islands, where I also got my PhD and I have developed my academic career since 1984 and where I am currently a Professor of Private International Law. I owe an important part of my academic training to the Max-Planck-Institut für ausländisches und internationales Privatrecht, based in Hamburg. I have published works related to International Civil Law and the Internet Law and electronic commerce, and on issues such as contractual and extracontractual liability or tourism (I suppose that this is what is expected of someone living in Mallorca). Member of Editorial Boards or Advisory Boards of various periodicals or editorials: Spanish Yearbook of Private International Law, Journal of Transnational Law (http://e-revistas.uc3m.es/index.php/CDT/index), La Ley : European Union, Spanish Yearbook of International Law (http://www.sybil.es/), Collection "The Law of Globalization" (Colex publishing house), Collection "Studies of External Legal Traffic" (Editorial Iprolex) and Millennium Bitácora (http://www.millenniumdipr.com/). I run a blog dedicated to provide information about DIPr. and for which I chose the name - on the other hand, so unoriginal - of "Conflictus Legum" (http://conflictuslegum.blogspot.com.es/).
